(Directions) We have a community of people united in the desire to establish an authentic, intellectually and emotionally satisfying Jewish community for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren, as well as for our guests. We offer a full range of religious services, including daily minyan morning and evening every day of the year. We also have a vibrant, engaging Religious School, a very successful Nursery School (including a pre-nursery program for two-year olds), an elaborate, interesting program of Adult Education, a very hospitable Sisterhood and a thriving Men’s Club. These groups bring together our congregation for fellowship and various mitzvah projects. Shelter Rock Jewish Center is a wonderful, warm, welcoming community and I feel very privileged to serve it as its spiritual leader and rabbi. I feel certain newcomers will come to feel as happy as those of us here already do! We are a singing congregation, and one that understands that music is one of the great gateways to spiritual growth and development. Our chazan, Cantor T. Shalom Cohen, loves to sing and to inspire others to sing as well. This community is blessed in so many ways, and with so many different kinds of riches. We even have our own prayer book, Siddur Tzur Yisrael, that reflects the spiritual ideals of our community. We invite you to visit and sample the vibrancy of Jewish life as we have established and in this community. Please click here for all our contact numbers and e-mail addresses. Get involved. Come to visit and I, with every member of our congregation, will show you in more detail what I mean. Sincerely, Rabbi Martin S. Cohen Celebrate a simcha or read your Bar / Bat Mitzvah Parsha. Please contact Cantor Cohen if you are interested in reading Torah.

Green tip of the week Many plastic water bottles end up in landfills or as roadside litter. Using one of the new reusable BPA free water bottles decreases your exposure to potentially toxic plastics and is good for the environment. A family can save several hundred dollars per year by not buying bottled water.
