Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm  Shelter Rock’s USY group will join together with SRJC Holocaust Survivors for a night of Israeli dancing, music, food and fun. 

Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 6:30 pm  This year for Simchat Torah we invite you to come for a light meal before the celebration. This will be followed by ma’ariv at 7 pm and the Hakafot with dancing around the Torah at 7:15 pm. The rejoicing continues on Sunday morning at 9 am. Each year we choose two worthy people to honor as we complete and begin the reading cycle. This year we will be honoring Stuart Stein as our Chattan Torah and Mae Liss as our Kalat B’reishit.

This Shabbaton is an overnight where Kadima kids from all over the 5 boroughs, Westchester and Rockland Counties gather to spend Shabbat together, participate in a series of Sichot (learning sessions) and Chugim (activities). Sichot and Chugim are led by USYers in conjunction with Adult Staff, making the Shabbaton an excellent way for our kids to see all USY has to offer.  Contact Rabbi Rachel Larkin.
