Congregation
 We at Shelter Rock Jewish Center are
proud to welcome a new member to our staff.
Rabbi Rachel Larkin was born and raised in Milford, Connecticut on the
shores of Long Island Sound. She attended Hofstra University, and left with
a B.A. in Jewish Studies and her fiancé, Jonathan Wiesenberg, of Baldwin.
Rabbi Larkin received smicha from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of
Religion in New York City where she also had the pleasure of running HUC’s
Soup Kitchen as its Executive Chef. Rabbi Larkin spent the past two years
serving as rabbi for the North Fork Reform Synagogue in Southold, NY and
teaching for the Central Hebrew High School program in Oceanside. She
currently lives in Lynbrook, and is excited to be a new member of the SRJC
family.
Junior Congregation ages 8 and up In the small sanctuary. Weekly at
10:30 am - 12 noon.
Junior Congregation is required
for all SRJC Hebrew School students on the following dates
October 3,10,17,24, 31
November 7
Junior Congregation then continues for the duration of the year:
November 14,21, (NO services 28th)
December 5,12,19, (NO services 26th)
January (NO services 2nd) 9,16,23,30
February 6, (NO services 12 or 20)
March 6,13,20,27
April (NO services 3) 10,17,24
May 1,8,15
