Shelter Rock Jewish Center

The SRJC Library, an outstanding Judaica collection of 10,000 volumes, includes reference works, fiction and non-fiction books, and a sizable collection for young readers. There are also over 100 videos covering all aspects of Jewish life. The library is continually updated with the newest and finest Judaica publications.

Hebrew School students visit the library on a regular basis. Our Birthday Book Club and Bar/Bat Mitzvah Book Club enable children to donate a new book to the library in their honor. See our list of new books.

Library hours are:

Tuesdays from noon to 6 pm
Thursdays from 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm

Synagogue members are encouraged to come in and browse at any time, and may borrow a book on the honor system by following the posted directions.

If you are looking for a fun and easy way of earning community service credits, come and help out in the SRJC library. You will be trained by the librarian, and you can set your own schedule. Bring a friend and double the fun. Call for appointment 516-741-4305 x17.
