Welcome to the Shelter Rock Jewish Center, located in Roslyn, New York, where Shelter Rock Road, Searingtown Road and Herricks Road intersect. (Directions)

We have a community of people united in the desire to establish an authentic, vibrant, intellectually and emotionally satisfying Jewish community for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren, as well as for our guests. We offer a full range of religious services, including daily minyan morning and evening every day of the year. We also have a vibrant, engaging Religious School that feeds into our energetic and exciting Hebrew High School, a very successful Nursery School (including a pre-nursery program for two-year olds), an elaborate, interesting program of Adult Education, a very hospitable Sisterhood and a thriving Men’s Club. These groups bring together our congregation for fellowship and various mitzvah projects. We even have our own prayer book, Siddur Tzur Yisrael, that reflects the spiritual ideals of our community.

Our spiritual leaders, Rabbi Martin Cohen and Cantor T. Shalom Cohen as well as the Board of Trustees and entire congregation invite you to to visit and sample the vibrancy of Jewish life as we have established and in this community.
